Hello To Everyone, It is a little hard to believe it's almost
ThanksGiving, but it is here!!! This Report is really pretty simple.
We have been Fishing and we have been Duck Hunting. Fishing is good
when the weather breaks and the wind it is not howling. Duck Hunting
is good when it's not foggy. There's not much of a middle ground. As
far as fishing use popping corks and shrimp. As far as Duck Hunting
hopefully its cold, not foggy, and you're in the right Blind. Please
watch the weather and plan your trips accordingly. One thing is for
sure you're more than likely not going to catch a fish sitting in
the recliner and you're not going to bag a duck watching TV...even
though I have seen some elaborate Duck Blinds. Again, please contact
us for available dates...Fishing, Duck Hunting, or Cast and Blast.
"Lets go catch and bag you some memories"!
Contact me if you're interested in wading for

On another note "Prime

fishing charters have slowed down. The boats that have been able to
go fishing have come in with Atlantic Sharpnose Shark, Spanish
Mackerel, Mangrove Snapper and some have released Blacktip Sharks
and one lucky angler had a nice Mako Shark on but the Shark won.
Bay fishermen have been coming in with Redfish, Black Drum, a few
Speckled Trout and Gaff Top.
Live bait is plentiful at South bay marina shrimp, croaker, finger
Mullet , and piggies .
We are still booking offshore and bay trips. So watch the weather,

Meet Capt. Kevin McCoy
Catching is still great. Reds are in the flats eating piggy and pin
perch. the fish are in the upper end of the slot with some oversize
mixed in. trout are still hitting live croaker and soft plastics are
working well too. The frontal systems have begun and the water is
cooling down. The next two weeks should be good to go and
Thanksgiving weekend should see busier than normal boat traffic. I
don't think I would want to be a fish!!!!!!!!!!

INTERESTED IN HUNTING?
There has definitely been less fishing
pressure around here the last few weeks and the fishing has been
great for me and my clients. This past weekend I was able to make
one anchor each day, after my duck hunt, to limit my clients out on
their fish. Just don't get much better than that. Other days fishing
have also been good but I've had to work a little harder for limits.
It's been a little warm here lately and the duck hunting has been a
little slow, but we've still managed to shoot some birds. With this
little arctic blast we had in here last week though, the birds have
shown up and things are looking really good with the ducks really
starting to show up now!!
I still have some dates yet to book for the thanksgiving holidays
(November) if you would like to get in on some great fishing and or
some duck hunting.

Hey Folks, sorry its been a
while, We are starting to see the cool fronts and the fall fishing
is in full swing as we have been picking up decent numbers of Black
drum schooling up along shorelines and still finding some Redfish
and an occasional Flounder on the flats near deeper water guts on
cut and live mullet. We have been getting the drum on Shrimp, the
perch have started and I said stress started to leave us alone as in
some previous trips the perch would suck the shrimp off the hook
almost immediately so this is a big PLUS in Fall/Winter fishing.
Keep in mind Redfish tend to stay up on the flats year round I still
have a few days left in November and quite a few days left in
December open. Donít shy away from the cold temps during these fall
and winter Months, remember fish have to eat too. We can accommodate
from the best of anglers to the most novice. We have been fishing
from Rockport to Ingleside If you havenít tried sight fishing this
might be a great time to learn, please make sure to bring the
sunshine with you.

- Hey There South Texas Giggers and Anglers!!!
Nothing new to report, I haven't wet a hook or a gig since the 30th
of last month, of course I would , but my phones been pretty dead
this month. Hopefully that will change this last week of November,
still have some good dates available. One thing I've heard from some
other guides is that the flounder are thick at the shrimp boat,
Lydia Ann and ship channel at port a and their hitting anything you
throw at them, as long as the tide is moving one direction or the
other. With incoming tide being the most productive , best bait,
finger mullet or mud minnows, take your pick. Gigging season opens
in one week , I have the boat tore down right now , rebuilding the
alternator , replacing the belt , building new gig heads, then its
time to rock n roll on the first.

GIGGING AT NIGHT IS FANTASTIC!
Texas Giggers it's time to get back in the saddle. I have
enjoyed being able to take some time off and spend it with the
family. I also splurged and re-powered my boat with a brand new
Mercury 115 Pro XS 2015. I've been hearing lots of good
reports on the flounder this month. Everyone I have spoken with has
talked about all the flounder they have been catching on rod and
reel. The warming temperature has slowed down the flounder
dramatically on their migration to the Gulf, which is a good thing
for the giggers. Remember, the first two weeks you will only
be allowed two flounder by gig. I still have confidence that we will
be gigging flounder all the way through the end of January. I will
be booking double trips for December/January, for those that would
like to go late. I can also do last-minute trips as well. Just give
Capt. Dave a call 361-790-3271. I'm ready to gig some big
