Hello To Everyone, I'm not going to tell you I told you so, but...I
told you so!!! The weather stabilized for a while and as far as I am
concerned the Reds turned on. We had a 6 boat Tournament this last
Saturday and my clients whacked the Spotted Tails. They had their
lines broke twice and one guy caught not only his limit, but "TWO"
Cow Nose Sting Ray. The crazy thing about this day was we did not
have a bite, not a bite, till 1:00pm/1:15pm and then lines began to
sing. Limits were had and fishing was done in and about an hour! I
went back to the same general area two days later, did not wet the
first hook till 1:15pm, but had the same results. Fun, Fun, Fun, for
everyone! All these fish, but one were caught on Menhaden and in the
sand pockets. If ya'll would have been here you could have limited
out, too. The second trip was during the week and there was very,
very little boat traffic. Please give us a call and lets go fishing.

5-2-2013:
I cant believe we're still getting some cold fronts into south
Texas!! We're getting one every week so far which throws a "wrench"
into my fishing plans but my clients and I have been getting it
done! Redfish have been great for me and we've been limiting out on
them every day except for one day last week when we fished on a day
that either I just couldn't do anything right, or the fish were not
there due to me not being able to see or catch them. I don't know
which one to blame it on, but that day was a tough one for me. Most
of the reds have been good quality averaging around the 25" mark,
but we've had our share of larger ones too, along with an oversized
fish or two also. We have also seen our water levels come up
and warm a bit which has also moved or scattered the fish, but these
fronts are keeping our water temps from rising too fast. Plus the
rain we've been getting has also kept our water temps from rising
very fast as well. Trout are still slow as far as I know. A client
and I threw plastics a little while after he caught his reds, but we
only managed to catch a couple of throwbacks. Live croaker have not
shown up at the bait stands as of yet for those of you wondering
about them as bait. I still have a few weekdays left yet to book in
May if you're wanting to get in a late Spring fishing trip before
the air temps start getting hot so give me a call today before
they're all gone.

REPORT: 5-16-2013
Spring
is in the air and its time to go Fishing!!!!!!
The Offshore Fisherman have been coming in with limits of Atlantic
Sharpnose Shark, Kingfish and Ling.
May is usually a good month to go after Spinner and Blacktip Sharks
and the Kingfish Should be moving in closer to shore as the weather
warms up. The Bay Fisherman have been catching limits of
Redfish, Black Drum and some real nice Speckled Trout. Live shrimp
has been readily available. Croaker are still on the small side but
healthy and very fishable at our marina. We still have live Sealice
and Blue Crabs. The choice of dead bait has been Menhadden and fresh
dead shrimp. Time to plan your fishing trip. Red Snapper season
starts June 1st and goes thru June 11th. Dont miss out on the 11 day
federal water snapper season. We still have a few days open on
several boats. Makes your plans now and give us a call to book your

Reds are still in style. Jumping in the boat most of the time. We
are just hanging the bait over the side of the boat and they jump up
for it and I hit them in the head with a small baseball bat. NOT.
LOL. I wish. The reality is red fishing is good right now using live
and cut pin, perch and sea lice. Just roaming around the flats in
Rockport area. Fish in about 18 inches of water where bait fish are

CURRENT FISHING REPORT
5-2-2013:
Hello Everybody, Weather is the word. We are getting frontal
systems weekly dropping the temperature into the high 40's and lower
50's. The water temp is up and down and that is greatly affecting
the fishing. Normally croaker are available now, but they are are
very small and not growing as they should. Trout are here, but with
the lack of bait and stable water temperature catching them will be
difficult unless you are using shrimp or soft plastics. Red fish on
the other hand are being caught consistently with boat limits being
the norm. Reds are eating perch, shad and sea lice. Overall catching
is good and the new prediction is croaker are about two weeks away.
