Beach Walks
The Port Aransas Parks and Recreation
Department sponsors free, guided beach walks on the fourth Friday of
each month.
Your guide will bring a selection of shells commonly found on the beach here. Then,
you
take a
journey on foot, to find your own beach treasures.

Roberts
Point Park Overlooks the Gulf of Mexico
The
park is the setting for Sunset Sounds, free musical entertainment on the first Friday of
the month form April
through October. It overlooks the ship channel, the boats, and
the dolphins! Check out the observation tower!
Park
is also used for many fishing tournament weigh-ins.

Bird Watching
Boardwalks
The Port Aransas Birding Center and the Port Aransas Wetlands park
feature boardwalks and raised observation
towers. Weekly guided nature tours are
held every Wednesday (weather providing) at 9am,
beginning at the Birding
Center. Port
Aransas is one of the major stops along.
The
Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail.

Stop
by the Port Aransas Computer Resource Center, located at 405 N. Alister. The center
provides free
Internet and computer access to residents and visitors alike.

University
of Texas Marine Science Institute (Port Aransas)
The Visitor Center is open to the
public Monday - Friday; from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Admission is free and
features seven aquaria showing typical Texas coastal habitats and the organisms that live
there. Display shows, marine life-related movies, some of which focus on past
research efforts. MSI souvenirs available at the gift shop. Call

Trolley
Around Town
The trolley offers year round
service from 10am-5:55pm with extended hours on holidays and special events. A
complete route takes about an hours. Colorful signs and windsocks mark the trolley
route and riders may flag down the trolley at any location along its route. Route
maps and brochures are available at the Port Aransas Chamber.

Electric
scooters, bikes, and vehicles, bike repair, parts and accessories are also
available.

Scenic
Boat Tour - St. Joe Island
Leaving
Woody's Boat Basin, you will disembark and spend time on a deserted island. It is
uninhabited and
provides tourist with an awesome experience! Be sure to bring drinks
and food as there are no amenities on
the island, but well worth the trip. Call

Look no further!
The boats at the Dolphin Docks
(300 W. Cotter) take certified divers out for eight hours of diving
with a divemaster.
Bring your own equipment and proof of certification. Diving Classes & spear
fishing is also
available at Frogman's Dive Center (401 S. Alister)
